At Duncan & Ross, we are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Draftsman to join our team. As an Infrastructure Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of infrastructure projects by preparing detailed technical drawings and plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed infrastructure drawings, including roads, utilities, and drainage systems, using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Develop site layouts, grading plans, and alignment drawings in coordination with engineers and project managers.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure all drawings are produced in compliance with local GCC standards, project requirements, and international codes.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback into drawings.
- Coordinate with different disciplines to ensure design compatibility across various infrastructure elements.
- Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and documentation for easy retrieval and updates.
- Collaborate with surveying teams to integrate topographical data into the design process.
- Support the preparation of bills of quantities (BOQs) and other technical documentation for tenders.
- Conduct regular reviews and revisions of drawings to address changes and updates during the project lifecycle.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a draftsman in infrastructure projects within the GCC.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software; knowledge of Civil3D is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with GCC standards and regulations for infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of civil infrastructure systems, including roads, bridges, drainage, and utilities.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and technical proficiency.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
