We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Data Center Operations team at ENGIE Middle East. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the on-site management of electrical systems, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical System Management: Manage and maintain electrical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, and building monitoring systems.
- Performance Benchmarking: Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Job Card Management: Generate job cards and incident management tickets for Data Center facility.
- Project Coordination: Work with DCO managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Documentation: Establish documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
- Routine Maintenance: Manage routine maintenance and emergency services on a variety of critical systems.
- Facility Design and Implementation: Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
- Capacity Enhancement: Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
- Contract Compliance: Review DC contract compliance and ensure all SLAs are achieved.
- Business Interface: Business interface with DC Management for day-to-day operational requirements.
- Recruitment Support: Assist in recruiting efforts.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage DC to resolve any infrastructure electrical engineering issues.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Facility Inspections: Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.
- Job Card Creation: Create job cards in CAFM App as per Site requirements and follow up on job cards until close by the Technician.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Equipment Knowledge: Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, electrical systems, ELV systems, fire/life safety, and other systems.
- Safety Compliance: Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
- Spare Parts Management: Maintain essential stock of spare parts.
- After-Hours Support: Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with data center guidelines and standards, especially Tier III design standards and ASME/ASHRAE/NFPA.
- Shift Rotation: Ability to handle rotation shifts on a monthly basis.
