Group Sales and Event Development Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Sales, Groups & Events to join our team. As a highly motivated sales professional, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading our group sales and event efforts, and creating unforgettable events experiences.
About the Role:
- Sales Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, focusing on groups and events.
- Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and performance goals.
- Client Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, event planners, and corporate accounts to drive business for both small and large-scale events.
- Event Planning: Oversee event proposals, contracts, and negotiations, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry through to event execution.
- Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and ensure business growth.
Requirements:
- Degree in hospitality or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales management, with at least 3 years in a director-level role, preferably in luxury or lifestyle hotels.
- Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential.
- Prior pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the Abu Dhabi market and an established network within the hospitality industry.
- Proven ability to generate and drive business for both large and small events.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-lasting client relationships.
