We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to join our team at Wood Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of CWP, EWP, PWP, and IWP's, as well as developing KPI's for the Advanced Work Packaging program.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning: Oversee the preparation of CWP, EWP, PWP, and IWP's, and develop KPI's for the Advanced Work Packaging program.
- Project Execution: Ensure E&P deliverables are meeting ROS dates for fabrication and construction, and link the AWP program with sub-system pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Project Monitoring: Monitor the construction schedule and ensure workfront availability, and coordinate contractors' schedules to validate actual physical progress on site.
- Project Control: Anticipate potential slippage and critical path deviations, propose and discuss mitigation and corrective actions with the Project Control Team and Construction Manager.
- Reporting: Prepare construction progress reports according to the project reporting procedure, and evaluate the allocation of resources to maintain required progress.
- Analysis: Develop and implement plan versus actual progress charts (histograms/S curves) to report and analyze deviations from plan.
- Forecasting: Track, monitor, and forecast progress of all activities and deliverables, such as fabrication and construction status for all scopes of work.
- Quality Assurance: Analyze gaps between planned and actual progress, and highlight areas of concern that require action from the associate task member.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction planning in the oil & gas industry, including Owner & PMC experience.
- Experience in successfully implementing AWP on other large capital projects, knowledgeable about AWP software and plans.
- Experience in large offshore capital projects.
- Proficient in the use of Primavera P-6.
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with project scheduling, including Critical Path Methodology, Productivity Tracking, and Earned Value.
- Good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
- Good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and oral.
