Job Summary:

Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Resident Engineer - MEP to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating, executing, and managing site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing & commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and execute site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing & commissioning for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  2. Advise the Resident Engineer and Client on technical matters related to procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of all Electrical networks.
  3. Attend factory and site tests required for successful project completion and handover of assets to relevant authorities.
  4. Develop the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements and monitor progress to meet schedule and budget requirements.
  5. Identify and document changes in scope and assist in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project buy-outs.
  6. Coordinate the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.
  7. Assist the Resident Engineer in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study.
  8. Ensure client criteria and scope are met by all engineering disciplines.
  9. Expedite distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the Client and Resident Engineer.
  10. Prepare technical reports and documentation of activity for the Client and Resident Engineer.
  11. Obtain, analyze, and circulate technical and contractual information to project disciplines.
  12. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University.
  2. Minimum 12+ years of experience in site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing & commissioning for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  3. Experience in Electrical Networks, including HV, MV, LV, FOC, Electrical Substations, Street lighting networks, etc.
  4. Fully conversant with authority requirements (ADM/ADDC/Transco) and processes in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
  5. Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
  6. Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.

Desired Skills:

  1. Potential to perform in a lead capacity.
  2. Familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
