We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Blue Jay Dental in Fremont, OH.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and dental charting.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care using established dental hygiene procedures.
  • Take patient vital signs and perform routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning and polishing.
  • Take radiographs required for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Apply sealants and fluorides to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and document patient dental history and chief complaints.
  • Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques and provide education on preventing tooth decay and gum disease.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and complete treatment plans as prescribed by the dentist.
  • Review and explain treatment plans and associated fees with patients.
  • Articulate patient concerns to the dentist and serve as a primary treatment coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Completed dental hygiene certificate program or associate's degree in dental hygiene and current licensure in North Carolina.
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and implement operating practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork approach to job responsibilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and promptness.
  • Ability to perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments with a positive approach.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for own actions.
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality with patients and patient care.
