Cathodic Protection Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analyses and troubleshooting of cathodic protection-related issues to ensure continuous system availability.
- Perform inspections and participate in corrosion management, risk evaluations, structural analysis, and failure analysis of the cathodic protection system to guarantee safe operations.
Supervisory Roles:
- Oversee external and internal painting works to ensure quality standards are met.
- Supervise pin brazing and stud welding activities to guarantee adherence to quality protocols.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Monitor overall cathodic protection system performance to meet established schedules and instructions, highlighting deficiencies in the existing system.
- Supervise, record, and plot potential readings, taking action to bring up potentials wherever they are below protective levels and reporting major deviations for corrective action.
- Monitor and observe devising methods and implementation to upgrade protective potentials by providing resistive bonds, insulating joints, hot spot protection, and adjusting current outputs.
- Participate in the assessment of equipment to identify corrosion and coating damages.
- Conduct soil resistivity surveys and holiday detection surveys to detect cracks or defects in the protective coating.
- Monitor and report damage from third parties and report potential damage to the supervisor for remedial action.
