About This Position:
  • Manufacturing Process Design: Create and document detailed process flows for satellite manufacturing, incorporating assembly sequences, integration procedures, and test protocols.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and current manufacturing documentation, including process records, test reports, and equipment logs.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency, minimize costs, and optimize quality.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure design for manufacturability and effortless assembly.
  • Work with test engineers to establish test requirements and design test fixtures and equipment.
  • Build strong relationships with procurement and supply chain teams to secure timely material delivery.
  • Coordinate with quality control teams to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Facility Layout and Equipment Selection: Assist in planning and setting up the satellite manufacturing facility, including cleanroom design and equipment selection.
  • Evaluate and recommend suitable manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.
  • Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Quality Assurance and Resolution: Continuously monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to address recurring issues.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on manufacturing performance, process enhancements, and progress.
  • Contribute to the creation of 'as-built' documentation for all manufactured hardware.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and internal quality procedures.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols in the manufacturing facility to maintain a safe working environment.
