Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for irrigation networks, ensuring timely completion of tasks and minimizing downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation networks to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with other operational processes.
- Operational Excellence
- Plan and execute corrective and preventive maintenance activities for irrigation network assets, including pipelines and pumping stations.
- Review and analyze work orders to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Conduct condition assessments of irrigation network assets and provide recommendations for replacement or rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operations teams on irrigation network maintenance and operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in irrigation network maintenance and operations, with a minimum of 5-6 years of experience.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes and techniques for pipelines, valves, and other assets.
- Experience with GIS and MAXIMO systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
