Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of New or Modified Electrical Equipment: The Electrical Installation Specialist will be responsible for installing new or modified electrical equipment, ensuring that all installations meet the required standards and codes.
  • Electrical Wiring: The Electrical Installation Specialist will be responsible for electrical wiring as per approved schematic drawings, avoiding unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring.
  • Site Survey and Cable Laying: The Electrical Installation Specialist will conduct site surveys for the installation, cable laying, and other electrical activities, and prepare and provide survey reports with sketches.
  • Electrical Drawings and Layouts: The Electrical Installation Specialist will read and understand method statements, electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Equipment Handling: The Electrical Installation Specialist will be deft at all electrical equipment, materials, tools, and test equipment handling.
  • Material and Tool Analysis: The Electrical Installation Specialist will analyze and prepare a list of materials and tools required at the site.
  • Safe Work Habits: The Electrical Installation Specialist will demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of equipment and tools.
  • Timesheets and Work Reports: The Electrical Installation Specialist will prepare timesheets and work reports.
  • Additional Responsibilities: The Electrical Installation Specialist will undertake any other duties as appropriate within their job purpose, as required by their line Engineer.
