Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Skills-hub Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a critical role in planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review engineering plans, specifications, and drawings for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and buildings.
  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, manage timelines, and ensure the project adheres to budgetary constraints.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies, including environmental impact assessments and soil testing.
  • Ensure all designs and constructions comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Identify and resolve engineering issues that arise during project development, utilizing innovative solutions and technical expertise.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and final project evaluations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PMP) Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on project-based work.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit) and project management tools.
  • In-depth understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
