About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineering Team Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading teams involved in the development of discipline-specific engineering drawings.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Manage and supervise discipline-specific drafting activities carried out by junior staff, ensuring timely completion and adherence to set standards.
  2. Ensure all engineering input aligns with project specifications, guidelines, standards, and company procedures.
  3. Understand and study the scope of work and specifications of assigned projects.
  4. Allocate drafting tasks to team members.
  5. Check and verify the accuracy of all drawings produced by draftsmen, ensuring compliance with design brief, consistency, and quality.
  6. Maintain accurate records of master files, check prints, and other relevant documentation.
  7. Verify the accuracy of MTOs, Bill of Materials, sketches, and other procurement-related documents.
  8. Assist in resolving engineering queries from clients or third parties.
  9. Collaborate with discipline engineers to integrate project drafting activities.
  10. Resolve yard queries, within level of capability, during the construction phase to ensure conformity to drawings.

Essential Requirements

  1. Technical Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in design, with 4 years offshore drawings experience at Level 2.
  3. Proven leadership and management experience, including team-leader qualities.
  4. Strong understanding of interdisciplinary concepts.
  5. Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  6. Proficient in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD latest release, and experienced in StruCAD, X-Steel, and PDS.
  7. Attention to detail and strong checking abilities.
