Wood PLC is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Safety Engineering Professional to join their team on an ADNOC onshore project in the United Arab Emirates.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with expertise in process safety engineering to work with a global leader in consulting and engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing assigned scopes of work, supporting and supervising task delegation to the team, providing discipline expertise to the business, and participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in process safety engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. They should have a proven track record of providing sound technical advice and solutions to diverse technical problems within the discipline, as well as coordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executing assigned scopes of work
- Supporting and supervising task delegation to the team
- Providing discipline expertise to the business
- Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required
Requirements
The successful candidate will require a BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience. They should also have a minimum of 6 years proven capability in an EPC company, with previous experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance being advantageous. Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred, as is previous experience of working in the Middle East.
