Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying business opportunities, and increasing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain customer contacts, gather and communicate market intelligence, and develop winning sales strategies.
  • Analyze scope of supply and customer contract agreements, carry out risk analyses, and introduce recommendations to prepare for negotiations with customers.
  • Manage sales activities between customers, various Siemens Energy factories, regional hubs, and local project management teams.
  • Forecast sales opportunities and revenues accurately using CRM tools, and support digital solutions applicable to rotating equipment.
  • Coordinate internally to support mobilizing field service engineers to customer sites on an ad-hoc or emergency basis.
  • Work in line with the Company's compliance and business conduct guidelines.
  • Identify and implement plans to develop in-country personnel.
Requirements
  • Relevant sales experience in servicing rotating equipment, preferably in the oil and gas market.
  • Degree in Engineering (electrical or mechanical) or equivalent technical studies from an accredited university.
  • Strong written and oral English language skills to communicate effectively within Siemens Energy organization.
  • Excellent commercial understanding, communications skills, and planning skills, with a confident and flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds and demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
  • Prior direct customer interaction experience is required.

  6. Collaboration: Experience working closely with sales teams, product development, and engineering to ensure alignment on customer needs and solutions.
  7. Customer relationship management: Skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to foster trust and loyalty.
  8. Negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing effectively to achieve favorable outcomes for both the company and the customer.
  9. Market awareness: Knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
  10. Training and support: Ability to provide technical training and support to customers and internal teams to ensure effective product use.
  11. Project management: Skills in managing the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale support, ensuring a smooth experience for the customer.
