Job Summary

Talent Pal is seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Engineer to join our team. As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical management and support functions for our fleet to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical management and continuing airworthiness management functions for assigned sections, including airframe structures, avionics, power plant, and cabin interior.
  • Routinely evaluate manufacturers' and regulatory authorities' technical documents, taking appropriate actions and updating internal engineering documents, including engineering orders and special engineering workcards.
  • Review in-service data, such as technical logs, pilot reports, and defects, and implement actions to improve fleet engine component and/or system reliability and maintainability, including optimization of aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Deliver technical assistance and operational support in disruption scenarios, including handling technical/AOG troubleshooting, aircraft chronic and deferred defects, and technical delays.
  • Carry out Emirates Engineering design organizational activities, such as development of standard operating procedures in house repairs, use of alternate parts, deviations from manufacturing documents, and exercising Design Engineer (DE) privileges of Part 21 Design Organisation as appointed by Head of Design (HOD).
  • Provide support and expertise for acquisition of new aircraft and end-of-lease activities.
  • Act as a technical liaison with aircraft engines and/or component manufacturers and internal stakeholders to address fleet significant faults, defects, design issues, and quality escapements.
  • Provide technical clarifications/justification to internal stakeholders in support of cost optimization, contract negotiation, repair, and modification processes.
  • Carry out project management functions, such as major modifications, retrofits, cabin reconfigurations, and aircraft phase-out requirements, including preparation of cost-benefit studies or budget requirements on changes/repairs with recommendations/proposals for approval by management.
  • Review and analyze technical data in support of department KPIs, highlighting trends and making recommendation reports/proposals for improvement.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree or honors in Aeronautical/Avionics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence for 5 years.
  • Have 10 years of experience in Engineering Aeronautical.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years in Technical Services function, of which at least 5 years of experience pertaining to Emirates fleet type/aircraft systems.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Related Aircraft Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends on respective systems.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize technical information for implementation in cost-effective ways.
  • Excellent drafting/report writing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing complex tasks and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
