**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and experiments on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols to conduct tests and experiments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Collect and process samples, ensuring proper labeling and identification, and maintaining accurate records of test results.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Analyze test results, interpret data, and prepare reports for physician review, providing accurate and timely information to support patient care.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, protecting patients, staff, and visitors from harm.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient care, sharing knowledge and expertise to achieve optimal outcomes.

**Requirements:**

  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field, such as Clinical Laboratory Science or Laboratory Technology.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or a related certification, such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification.
  • Proven experience working as a Medical Laboratory Technician, with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR), with experience in data entry and management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
