Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified Environmental Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). This department is dedicated to ensuring environmental protection and performance for our refinery and gas facilities. GMSD plays a crucial role in delivering technical consultations, operational support, troubleshooting, benchmarking, strategic planning, and assessments in areas such as safety, environmental compliance, cybersecurity, advanced process control, energy efficiency, and operational excellence. Furthermore, GMSD is pivotal in implementing the digital transformation initiatives of MatchaTalent. Your main responsibility will be to establish and uphold an Environmental Management System compliant with ISO 14001, enhance adherence to relevant environmental regulations and standards, implement corporate environmental programs, and improve the environmental performance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive cost engineering expertise and coordinate activities within the unit.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and analysis of environmental performance.
  • Ensure that facility operations and business objectives align with the company's environmental protection policies and standards.
  • Identify environmental risks and develop strategies to enhance compliance.
  • Design, review, and implement a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management program, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct internal GHG assurance audits and assist in preparing for third-party audits.
  • Oversee the disposal of solids and chemicals to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Monitor air quality, wastewater management, and water conservation efforts.
  • Establish environmental KPIs and targets in line with corporate strategies.
  • Develop and maintain the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001.
  • Create and update environmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct environmental audits and assessments.
  • Benchmark environmental performance across oil and gas refineries.
  • Facilitate technical exchange workshops among industry peers.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to foster environmental awareness among refinery staff.

Qualifications:

  • Relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia is a requirement for this position.
  • The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution, with a preference for a Master's degree or EPI/QEP certification.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry is essential, particularly in refining, chemical, or NGL fractionation processes. At least 7 years of direct experience in environmental management within refinery or gas plant settings is required.

    • Robust analytical and organizational skills.
    • Excellent technical writing and presentation capabilities.
