About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Architect to join our dynamic team at Stantec. As a BIM Architect, you will play a key role in the construction supervision of a buildings project in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify BIM deliverables issued by the Contractor, including BIM models with LOD and LOI matching the Project stages.
  • Check 2D workshop drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure the final handover and as-built documentation meets the required standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering technical team and other departments to achieve a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Monitor the accurate coordination of technical trades and review BIM models received from contractors based on Project BIM EIR and BEP.
  • Perform detailed model review to meet LOD 300, 400, and 500 requirements.
  • Conduct BIM QA/QC process based on agreed checklists and standards.
  • Classify clashes and perform clash detection process.
  • Attend internal coordination meetings and play a key role in discipline drawing reviews based on the approved BIM model.
  • Assist the discipline engineer in BIM model information extraction, including sketches, schedules, etc.
  • Prepare draft BIM progress reports per discipline as requested.
  • Perform bespoke modelling activities when requested.
  • Experienced with BIM modelling activities of all Building Services requirements, respecting internal processes, project standards, and industry best practices.
  • Experienced with Revit project environment setup with respect to Project BEP.
  • Production of the field engineering and construction working drawings as part of the production team. BIM documentation, printing, binding, and other CAD-related assistance for the Project and Discipline Engineers.
  • Contribution to the spatial design coordination process using the Navisworks platform.
  • Support the Data exchange within project-deployed CDE at various construction stages.
  • Work under the direct supervision of the BIM Manager/Sr. A/E BIM Coordinator and is responsible for all of the production and drafting tasks directly assigned to them by the BIM Manager or Discipline Manager.
  • Provide multi-disciplinary modelling assistance for the project team as assigned.
  • Mentor junior technologists.
  • Complete tasks within timelines and budgets, respecting the team's plans ahead of time.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience of BIM standards and the BIM Execution Plan organization and procedures.
  • Computer skills:
    • Microsoft Suite
    • Autodesk Revit
    • Autodesk Navisworks
    • Autodesk Dynamo
    • Bentley Synchro
    • Collaboration with the engineering technical team
