Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Inspector to join our team at Dubizzle. As an Automotive Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with emission standards and governmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect Vehicles: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any defects, damage, or non-compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze Findings: Analyze the findings of the inspection and derive conclusions about the functionality and performance of the vehicle's engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, interior, electricals, air-conditioners, tires, and ECU/Sensors.
  • Document Results: Document the results of the inspection and prepare reports for vehicles that have been inspected.
  • Collaborate with Team: Collaborate with the team leader to discuss critical findings and obtain approval for inspection reports.
  • Take Professional Photographs: Take professional photographs of the vehicle being inspected to document any defects or damage.
  • Investigate Complaints: Investigate complaints, accidents, auction history, and total loss claims related to the vehicle.
  • Conduct VIN Investigation: Conduct a VIN investigation to gather information about the vehicle's history and previous records.
Requirements
  • Education: High School or Mechanical Diploma.
  • Experience: 5 or more years of experience as a vehicle inspector.
  • Skills: Mechanical and Electrical work experience in automotive, Automotive Certification (good to have), Automobile Knowledge (Expert Level), Car Segments & Knowledge about old and latest models, Knowledge of using relevant automotive inspection equipment, Photography Skills, Basic Computer Knowledge, Attention to detail, Make good observation-based decisions & action plans, Confident working in a technology-focused environment, Self-motivated with a determined work ethic, Experience working under changing circumstances and tight deadlines, Positive behavior, Teamwork, Motivated, high-energy individual with a good work ethic, Enthusiastic towards automobiles.
