We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal & Compliance Officer to support our company's operations in the UAE and GCC region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

The Legal & Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks, as well as developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures. This includes:

  • Developing, implementing, and enforcing compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Providing legal advice and support to management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues, including contract interpretation, employment law, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Staying up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations that may impact our operations and advising management accordingly.
  • Collaborating with external legal counsel as needed on complex legal matters and litigation.
  • Conducting training sessions for employees to increase awareness of compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Investigating allegations of misconduct or violations of company policies and taking appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Supporting the PRO in connection with works related to regulatory agencies and government authorities.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proven experience in legal compliance or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the UAE specifically, and across the GCC region in general.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex legal documents.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using compliance-related web portals, programs, and other relevant tools.
