Job Overview

Project Execution and Management:

As a Lead Interface Engineer at Wood, you will be responsible for creating and implementing work plans for discipline and inter-discipline interfaces, identifying key dates, milestones, and deliverables, and driving for completion. You will manage forecasts, resolve escalated delays and changes, and ensure recovery plans are implemented and reviewed. Additionally, you will create work share plans and drive and participate in Design Verification, understanding risk and mitigation requirements.

Change Management and Leadership:

You will use your knowledge of conditions of contract to support decisions on schedules, key milestones, and change management. You will understand customer needs and deliver customer satisfaction, actively monitoring and supporting initiatives. You will quantify the effects of change project-wide, develop mitigation plans against change, and drive change management.

People Management and Communication:

You will supervise the work of technical professionals in the delivery of engineering deliverables, including checking work. You will coordinate and manage inputs from large interdisciplinary teams (typically 50+). You will provide communication to project teams, have good public speaking skills, and be strong in leading people to participate and contribute.

Qualifications and Attributes:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering;
  2. Minimum 15 years' relevant experience;
  3. Deep understanding of technical work scopes and commercial aspects of projects;
  4. Able to use conditions of contract to support decisions on schedules, key milestones, and change management;
  5. Good working and application knowledge of specifications and standards;
  6. Extensive experience in delivering to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines;
  7. Familiar with change management practices and able to robustly manage change;
  8. Expert knowledge of standards, procedures, and work practices; follows project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution;
  9. Expert ability in application of the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables;
  10. Able to lead Project Engineering teams; able to manage between Engineering Discipline Groups;
  11. Good communicator in leading work effort; motivates team; strong positive and active in solutions and proactive attitude;
  12. Competent at managing technical matters and interfaces with Third Parties;
  13. Able to manage and enhance performance and build effective teams.
