Our organization is currently seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to oversee the Card Management Systems application support team. This permanent role will be based in our Head Office in Abu Dhabi.

This management position involves leading a team of 5, including two Senior Technical Analysts, with the successful candidate reporting into the Group Leader for Delivery Channels Support.

A strong technical background in card management systems is essential for this role, as your technical input will be crucial when handling incidents and making decisions.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Performance management of the team, including monthly reviews
  • Developing yearly objectives for the team
  • Attending management meetings
  • Providing training to staff

Strong mentoring and leadership skills are necessary for success in this position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT applications, particularly in card management systems.

Requirements:

  • Degree in IT or Computer Science
  • Proven leadership skills
  • A minimum of 12 years' experience in IT applications industry
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Card Management Systems (Authorization, Switching, Issuing, and Acquiring)
  • Knowledge of VISA and MasterCard platforms is mandatory
  • Experience in Core Banking applications is beneficial
  • Oracle Database experience is required
  • Experience in Unix/Linux is highly valued
  • In-depth knowledge of Settlement, Card Issuance, Card Delivery, and Statement Generation processes is essential
  • Thorough knowledge of POS Applications and POS Management Systems is mandatory
