About the Role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Civil Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction supervision team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all civil and structural work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Civil/Structural Engineer in performing contractual duties on site, including reviewing construction submittals and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
  • Interface with Stakeholders to mitigate construction impacts and ensure that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works.
  • Oversee and Inspect all civil and structural work, including monitoring material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness and quality.
  • Collaborate with Construction Management to eliminate hazards associated with the work and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Review and Interpret discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
  • Provide Resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s) and coordinate application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
  • Organize and Maintain records, back charge procedures, progress reports, and other required documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
