Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commi I to join our culinary team at Marriott International, Inc & Ritz Carlton HotelCompany L.L.C. As a Commi I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, working closely with the Chef de Partie to prepare and present high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Accurately measure ingredients, prepare meal ingredients, and season meats and vegetables to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Receive deliveries, verify the quality and quantity of ordered items, and notify the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform basic cleaning duties, ensure workstations are properly sanitized, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Plate Presentation: Prepare and present meal items according to the Chef de Partie's instructions, ensuring a visually appealing and appetizing presentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to achieve our kitchen's goals and objectives, providing support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
