About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physical Trading Specialist to join our team at Peninsula. As a Marine Fuels Trader, you will be responsible for procuring marine fuels, blending components, and associated products to maintain a competitive supply in our regional physical ports.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Physical Trading, ideally within the Residual and Distillate Fuels scope of products, and be looking to extend their experience into Cargo Trading.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain, establish, and build relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  2. Procure Marine Fuels and their blending components to maintain a competitive supply into the regional physical ports.
  3. Communicate openly with other cargo traders internally to maximize the flow of market and arbitrage opportunities globally.
  4. Analyze and interpret market conditions, fundamentals, geopolitics, market structure plays, and other sources of information to better position Peninsula's supply.
  5. Coordinate supply and blending with local Operations teams.
  6. Work closely with Chartering to maximize the value of Peninsula's shipping assets.
  7. Collaborate with Regional Book Manager and Hedging Desk to mitigate pricing risk and maximize the value of supply within the Risk Management framework.
