About the Role

This Director position is exclusively open to UAE Nationals as part of our Emiratization initiative.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a strategic health and safety improvement plan, which will focus on minimizing losses and ensuring compliance with established standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Establish a robust health and safety management system to support operational objectives.
  • Develop new and existing company procedures in alignment with the overall company strategy.
  • IDentify training needs for employees and create training programs to address competence gaps.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
  • Plan and direct health and safety audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Contribute to developing the company's health and safety behavioral culture.
Requirements
  • Masters or Bachelors Degree in Industrial Safety or Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in health and safety management roles, including 4+ years in a steelmaking or manufacturing industry in a management position.
