Position Overview
This role involves the meticulous preparation and management of project estimates and tender documentation within the hospitality and restaurant sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and tender packages.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of tenders and prepare reports for necessary approvals.
  • Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to vendors and analyze their responses.
  • Evaluate and prequalify contractors and suppliers.
  • Facilitate the registration process for suppliers.
  • Coordinate with project managers to issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to contractors.
  • Oversee the preparation of cost estimates and ensure effective cost control measures are in place.
  • Interpret project specifications, price tenders, and prepare contractual documents.
  • Review and verify drawings, tender documents, quantities, and estimates.
  • Manage and supervise the Tender/Quantity Surveyor Department, ensuring efficient planning and workload distribution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in hospitality interiors, fit-outs, or refurbishment projects as an estimator or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong aptitude for understanding project requirements and specifications.
  • Ability to identify key variables impacting cost and estimates.
  • Proficient in gathering data from various sources, including sites and warehouses.
  • Conduct thorough research to collect information on labor costs, materials, and production timelines.
