Job Description:

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking and checking strength, fatigue, and ultimate analysis of fixed and floating offshore structures.

You will also perform hand calculations to supplement and refine analysis package generated code checks and structural behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and check strength, fatigue, and ultimate analysis of fixed and floating offshore structures
  • Perform hand calculations to supplement and refine analysis package generated code checks and structural behaviors
  • Undertake Life Extension and Risk Based Inspection Tasks
  • Effective communication of results and conclusions to clients through presentations or reports
  • Supervise and guide graduate engineers while performing structural analyses

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in Structural, Mechanical, Marine, or Offshore Engineering
  • 5-6 years of experience within the Oil and Gas industry (Offshore Structures)
  • Thorough understanding of Structural Theories (including Dynamics, Non-linear, and Spectral Processes)
  • Experience in performing strength, fatigue, and pushover analyses
  • Familiar with ISO 19902, API RP 2A, AISC-365, and DNV recommended practices
  • Experienced in using SESAM (preferred) or SACS analysis packages
