**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working together with senior design engineers and CAD operators on structural analysis and design for low, medium and high rise buildings and other structures from concept stage to issuing of construction documents.
- Computer modeling of structures will be an essential part of the role.
- The successful candidate will prepare design calculations, specifications, and outline drawings directly on Autocad.
- Supervising and checking the work of CAD operators will also be required.
- Candidates must be able to coordinate with other design disciplines.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is essential. We are looking for candidates with 4 to 8 years experience in the design of building structures, some of which should preferably have been gained in similar environments.
A thorough knowledge of structural systems, design methods and materials together with experience in analysis and design of structural frames and foundations is essential. Candidates must be conversant with appropriate international codes of practice for structural analysis and design and be familiar with proprietary structural design software, including ETABS, SAFE and SAP.
Preferred Skills:
A high level of computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel are important. The ability to prepare drawings using Autocad would be a significant advantage.
