Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in managing complex IT systems, providing technical support, and implementing new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage overall information technology infrastructure, including computer systems and networks.
  2. Administer email server systems and manage user accounts, distribution lists, and security policies.
  3. Maintain campus server machines, virtual servers, and ensure regular backups and checkpoints.
  4. Provide training on effective technology resource use.
  5. Manage webserver administration, backup, and domain administration.
  6. Wireless mesh management, hotspot token administration, bandwidth throttling, and generating usage statistics and reports.
  7. Authorized liaison with Internet Service Providers for telephony and internet-related affairs.
  8. Plan, organize, administer, and control all electronic data operations.
  9. Design, implement, and enforce ICT policies and procedures.
  10. Plan, design, and execute backup solutions and data retention/disaster recovery policies.
  11. Regular audit of all ICT systems and assess outcomes.
  12. ICT asset tracking, inventory, and consumables management.
  13. VLAN management for voice and data traffic, inter-VLAN routing, and segregation.
  14. Compile software and hardware requirements from departments yearly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a closely related field.
  • English Language proficiency is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an academic institution is preferable.
  • Relevant IT Certifications are preferable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
