About the Job
This High Voltage Electrical Engineer role involves leading a team of engineers in designing and developing large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design, particularly in HV, MV, LV, ELV electrical design to local and international standards.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor/master's degree in electrical / electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Electromechanical.
Experience and Expertise:
- Minimum 12 years relevant experience in Electrical Design of Large Infrastructure, Marinas, and building projects.
- Recent experience of HV, MV, LV, ELV electrical design to local and international standards.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is an advantage.
- Must have thorough knowledge of National Electrical Code, IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA, and IEC and various local authority standards in the UAE like DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, FEWA, SIRA, Civil Defense, etc.
- Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects Understanding of the requirements for primary substations 132/11 kV, HV corridor, Block work distribution substations, pocket substations, feeder pillars, and service turrets, MV systems up to 132kV, LV networks, calculations, ICT, Security systems.
- Additional experience in the fields of power systems design and analysis and building services would be an advantage.
- Experience of liaising with DEWA for obtaining Power Supply Master Plan Approvals, Load NOCs, LV Design Approvals, HV Design Approvals, 11 KV Substations, Getting Electricity applications, etc.
