Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive dermatological assessments and examinations of patients.
  • Diagnose and treat various skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and skin infections.
  • Perform minor dermatological procedures, such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions.
  • Prescribe medications, topical treatments, and recommend lifestyle modifications based on patient needs.
  • Educate patients on skin health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality, privacy, and ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Residency training in General Practice or Family Medicine with a specialization or significant experience in Dermatology.
  • Board certification in General Practice or Family Medicine. Additional certification or training in Dermatology is preferred.
  • Valid license to practice as a GP in Dubai with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or equivalent licensure.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a GP with a focus on dermatological care.
  • Proven ability to perform dermatological procedures and manage common skin conditions independently.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
