The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to lead exclusive content coverage on LPs, GPs, fundraising, allocations, and commitments concerning the Middle East, and outgoing capital in the infrastructure sector. As a Senior Reporter, you will take a leading role in feeding content into ION Analytics' Infralogic publication, as well as supporting other products within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- BUILD close relationships with funds, managers, lawyers, advisors to gather valuable insights.
- SHAPE comprehensive coverage of LP and GPs, including their allocations, commitments, targets, and people moves.
- WRITE 15 stories a month on the thriving market, with USD 75bn infrastructure deals closed in the last decade and a significant pipeline.
- GENERATE ideas for longer-form coverage and collaborate with Infralogic data and research teams to ensure accurate, exclusive, and market-scooping news and analyses.
- ASSIST with ION Analytics', primarily Infralogic's, events with content creation, panel moderation, and speaking.
- WORK with the EMEA editor, senior editors, and colleagues across the group to support content creation targeted at ION Analytics' key customer segments.
- MAINTAIN high standards of copy and adhere to group-wide compliance policies.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Knowledge of the financial market with a proven record of reporting exclusives.
- At least 5 years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom with global exposure.
- A proven track record of breaking news for a media organization, as well as writing in-depth analyses.
- Ability to identify trends in market data and conduct research to produce reports.
- A strong network of sources to gather valuable insights.
- Exceptional news and analysis writing skills.
