About the Role

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Marketing Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated marketing campaigns that drive business growth and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Insight and Business Value: Utilize data-driven insights to understand customer behaviors and preferences, aligning marketing strategies with business objectives to drive value across the supply chain.
  2. Customer Journey Mapping: Develop comprehensive maps of the customer journey to identify key touchpoints for engagement and understand the paths customers take from awareness to conversion and beyond.
  3. Personalization Strategy: Craft and implement strategies that leverage customer data to personalize communications and interactions at each stage of the customer journey, enhancing relevance and engagement to meet individual customer needs and preferences.
  4. Automation of Touchpoints: Utilize marketing automation platforms to automate communications and create trigger-based messaging that responds to customer behaviors, ensuring timely and contextually relevant interactions.
  5. Cross-Channel Coordination: Coordinate with the digital marketing team to oversee the integration of various communication channels, ensuring a coherent and unified customer experience.
  6. Testing and Optimization: Conduct A/B testing and use analytics to refine customer journeys continually, optimizing automated workflows for improved customer satisfaction and increased conversion rates.
  7. Feedback Loop Integration: Implement mechanisms for capturing customer feedback at various stages of the customer journey, using this input to refine touchpoints and communication strategies.
  8. Collaborative Campaign Development: Work closely with the copywriting and branding teams to develop campaigns aligned with the customer journey and business objectives, ensuring a consistent message is delivered across all platforms.
  9. Lifecycle Marketing: Manage and evolve lifecycle marketing programs that address different stages of the customer journey, aiming to nurture leads, encourage repeat business, and build brand loyalty.
  10. Automation Leadership: Spearheaded the development and implementation of automated marketing campaigns, serving as the lead within a specialized team and working in concert with branding, communications, and analytics teams.
  11. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders to integrate and align marketing automation efforts with broader business strategies, ensuring a unified approach to customer communications.
  12. Performance Metrics: Drive key performance indicators, including conversion rates, customer engagement and satisfaction, cross-selling, upselling, and churn reduction, to measure the success of automated marketing initiatives.
  13. Innovation and Adaptation: Anticipate and respond to the evolving market by incorporating emerging technologies and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing communications.
Requirements
  1. Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of experience in marketing automation or a related field, with a proven track record in a similar role.
  2. Strategic and Analytical Skills: Ability to translate complex data into actionable marketing strategies, focusing on driving business outcomes.
  3. Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and projects and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  4. Innovative Mindset: A forward-thinking individual who is comfortable with change and innovation and can lead the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  5. Growth Potential: Capability and willingness to expand and manage a team, reflecting the company's growth and the evolution of the marketing automation function.
  6. Project Management: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects concurrently and have the flexibility to work across global time zones.
  7. Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively.
Preferred Skills
  1. Proficiency in Web Development Languages: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Python and PHP. Ability to create and modify web pages, forms, and other web elements to support marketing campaigns.
  2. Database Management: Experience with managing databases and ensuring data integrity. Proficiency in SQL for database queries and integration with marketing tools. Ability to segment databases effectively for targeted marketing campaigns. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  3. API Integration: Expertise in working with RESTful and SOAP APIs. Ability to develop and manage API integrations between various marketing platforms.
  4. Marketing Automation Tools: Experience configuring and using marketing automation platforms like Zapier, MoEngage, and ability to create, test, and optimize automation workflows.
  5. CRM Systems: Strong knowledge of CRM systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365. Experience in integrating CRM systems with marketing automation tools.
