About the Role

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing projects from proposal to construction administration.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  2. Structural Design: Develop and implement structural concepts that meet architectural and service requirements.
  3. Design Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and design of multi-storey residential and commercial buildings, including towers up to Ground + 30 upper floors.
  4. Structural Element Design: Design and check various structural elements, such as foundations, beams, slabs, columns, stairs, and overhead water tanks.
  5. Collaboration: Liaise with architects, service consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  6. Site Visits: Conduct site visits as necessary to provide guidance, clarification, or as required by authorities.
  7. Quality Assurance: Meet with proof-checking consultants to ensure high-quality designs.
  8. Commercial Building Design: Design commercial buildings with flat slabs, post-tensioned slabs, and other complex structural systems.
  9. Client Engagement: Meet with clients to provide site execution solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
  10. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with modern practices in structural engineering and share knowledge with the organization.
  11. Estimation Support: Provide advice and assistance to the estimator during the preparation of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Certifications: G+ Unlimited certification under RAK Municipality Dubai is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
