Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at Talent Pal. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our business leaders and teams. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to senior managers and other team members on various legal compliance and data privacy topics.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors related to business decisions and operations, and develop best practices for reducing contractual risks.
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal compliance and data privacy issues.
  • Provide advice and support to commercial and product teams on all aspects of commercial agreements, particularly digital and technology services marketing regulations and consumer rights.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and advise on all aspects relating to multiple consumer contracts and commercial matters, including dispute resolution.
  • Keep abreast of and support the region with regulatory developments, particularly with regards to consumer legislation, industry initiatives, and data privacy regulation.
  • Develop, implement, and roll out compliance policies, practices, and training in respect of anti-corruption, anti-trust, and export controls.
  • Assist and advise the business in implementing compliance measures, including compliance with local privacy legislation.
  • Work closely with HR in the resolution of labor matters, whistleblowing cases, and code of conduct investigations.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties, creating relationships based on trust and being a business enabler.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Lawyer holding a current practicing certificate in Law.
  • 57 years post-qualification experience gained from a reputable law firm and/or corporate company.
  • Previous experience as legal counsel in a business environment/in-house is a must.
  • Proficient in English and Arabic.
