Key Responsibilities
  • HLA Laboratory Leadership: Lead and manage the HLA laboratory, overseeing the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Expert HLA Diagnostic Services: Deliver high-quality specialized HLA diagnostic services to support optimal patient care in transplantation, including HLA typing, cross-matching, and antibody screening.
  • Collaboration for Transplant Success: Collaborate with transplant physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes by providing comprehensive HLA expertise and timely test results.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve the quality and efficiency of HLA testing services within the laboratory, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Education and Training: Contribute to the education of residents, fellows, and laboratory staff on advanced HLA testing procedures and interpretation.
Critical Competencies
  • Advanced HLA Expertise: Possess a deep and comprehensive understanding of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system, encompassing its genetics, immunology, and clinical applications in transplantation.
  • Expert Interpretation of HLA Data: Demonstrate exceptional skill in analyzing complex HLA typing data, interpreting results to identify potential transplant compatibility issues, and offering expert guidance on patient selection.
  • Leadership in HLA Laboratory Management: Proven ability to lead, manage, and optimize HLA laboratory operations, including personnel, equipment, and resources, to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in HLA testing.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in a related field, full registration (and a license to practice) as a Pathologist or related field, and 5 years of experience in the same capacity.

Work Location: Dubai, UAE.
