Position Overview

The role of a Senior Transport Planner involves a comprehensive understanding of the foundational concepts of transport planning and modeling. This expertise is essential for executing and assisting in transport modeling, master planning, and impact assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of Complex Studies: Oversee intricate planning studies, development proposals, and evaluations.
  • Review Processes: Analyze and process multifaceted comprehensive plan modifications, rezoning applications, annexations, and site plans.
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct thorough research and compile statistical reports addressing land use, as well as physical, social, and economic factors.
  • Regional Planning: Formulate plans, studies, and analyses on a regional scale.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Cube Voyager, PTV Visum, PTV Vissim, SIDRA, Synchro, and HCS+ is advantageous.
  • Field Inspections: Execute field inspections to collect data pertinent to the development review process and ensure compliance with approved plans.
  • Data Management: Capable of creating, managing, and manipulating extensive datasets using MS Excel.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Language Proficiency: Competent use of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking) at a professional and technical level.
  • Project Management: Solid understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Team Coordination: Ability to coordinate, manage, and supervise the workloads of junior colleagues.
  • Project Delivery: Strong grasp of project execution and delivery, particularly regarding the technical requirements for service delivery and quality assurance/control processes.
