Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement detailed hook-up plans, commissioning procedures, and strategies for onshore and offshore projects.
  2. Coordinate and supervise interdisciplinary teams involved in hook-up and commissioning activities, ensuring efficient project execution.
  3. Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities such as systems testing, equipment inspections, and functional checks.
  4. Identify and resolve technical issues during the hook-up and commissioning phase, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  5. Review project specifications, drawings, and design documents to ensure technical completeness and accuracy for hook-up and commissioning.
  6. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring their adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  7. Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of necessary resources, materials, and equipment.
  8. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to ensure safety during hook-up and commissioning operations.
  9. Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry codes, and standards, including the integration of environmental and sustainability aspects.
Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical discipline) or equivalent industry experience.
  2. Proven experience of 7 years in hook-up and commissioning within the EPCI industry, preferably in oil and gas or offshore projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of industry best practices, standards (API, ISO), and regulations related to hook-up and commissioning activities.
  4. Proficiency in utilizing project management tools and software for planning, scheduling, and tracking hook-up and commissioning activities.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively liaise with interdisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  6. Demonstrated ability to resolve technical challenges, implement innovative solutions, and ensure continuous improvement.
  7. Proactive mindset with a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivering projects within defined timelines and budget constraints.
  8. Competent in analyzing technical documents, drawings, and specifications to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
  9. Strong decision-making abilities under pressure, with the ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
  10. Professional certifications (such as PMI or equivalent) or training in project management would be an advantage.
