Job Summary:

A skilled test engineer is required to establish a test equipment development capability for the HALCON Systems Development Engineering Division and Operations Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an in-house test equipment design capability for the development programmes, as well as for the HALCON Operations functions such as Production, Platform Integration, and Logistic Support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence the testability, reliability, availability, maintainability, and producibility of designs and products.
  • Interpret design test specifications and generate production test specifications and procedures (for both hardware and software) to develop and produce automated test equipment.
  • Gain design intent knowledge for product industrialization and provide a bridge between system engineering, development, and production.
  • Provide technical guidance to management and development projects regarding technological advancements and best practices in the test engineering environment.
  • Support the Mechatronic engineering department management regarding test strategies, integration teams, and overall HALCON test infrastructure.
  • Lead and mentor subordinates and engineers to facilitate test equipment development tasks and perform responsibilities designated by the programmes.

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years of experience (NTC5), 17 years (T3), 15 years (T4/B.Tech), or 10 years (M.Tech) in electronic engineering areas such as analogue and digital electronics.
  • Expert knowledge of test techniques, NI test software, and test equipment development and manufacturing.
  • Relevant experience in development engineering environments of precision guided munitions, defense, and aerospace industries.
  • Thorough understanding of the systems engineering process (acceptance testing, qualification, field testing, flight testing).
