About the Organization:
This organization is involved in the exploration, production, transportation, and marketing of crude oil and natural gas. It operates through various segments: Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate. The Upstream segment encompasses exploration, field development, and production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids. The Downstream segment is dedicated to refining, logistics, power generation, and the marketing of crude oil, petroleum, and petrochemical products, alongside related services for both international and domestic clients. The Corporate segment provides essential support services, including human resources, finance, and information technology.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Pipeline Corrosion Engineer to become part of the Corrosion & Inspection Division. This division offers engineering support for oil operations, delivering specialized technical knowledge across multiple disciplines. The objective is to enhance profitability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management Plans (PCIM) for operational facilities in accordance with organizational and international standards.
  • Establish, implement, and sustain corrosion mitigation strategies for operational pipelines utilizing chemical treatments, coatings, cathodic protection, and material selection.
  • Conduct reviews of corrosion mitigation and integrity to optimize inspection and corrosion programs, ensuring integrity maintenance.
  • Perform failure investigations and offer recommendations to avert failures and enhance the integrity of field piping and pipelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize OnStream Inspection (OSI) programs for field piping.
  • Assist in facility enhancements by reviewing design packages for potential projects and providing insights related to corrosion monitoring and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with inspection teams during plant shutdowns and turnaround inspections to evaluate internal and external corrosion issues.
  • Engage with inspection teams on all corrosion and inspection initiatives related to field piping and pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • Relocation Requirement: This position necessitates the candidate to permanently relocate.
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in materials, metallurgical, chemical, mechanical, or corrosion engineering, or an MSc in corrosion engineering.
  • Must hold NACE Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management (PCIM) Technologist certification, NACE Internal Corrosion Technologist certification, or NACE Senior Internal Corrosion Technologist certification. Additional NACE specialist certifications are advantageous.
  • Should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, with at least 5 years in pipeline inspection, corrosion, and integrity management.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of internal and external corrosion mechanisms pertinent to upstream oil and gas pipelines.
  • Must be knowledgeable about corrosion mitigation techniques and monitoring methodologies.
  • Must be familiar with industry regulations and standards concerning pipeline integrity.
  • Must have practical experience in reviewing pipeline inline inspection data and integrity management development.
