Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at MatchaTalent. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Offer advice and consultation to department staff to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with environmental and safety regulations, standards, and practices.
  • Identify and Mitigate Hazards: Conduct surveys and on-site inspections to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace, and develop controls to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Procedures: Create and implement safety orientations, training programs, and job site inspection procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Participate in Safe Operations Committee meetings to address safety concerns and initiatives, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety requirements are incorporated into all purchasing and contracting actions.
  • Analyze and Improve Safety Performance: Review and analyze injury, property damage, and statistical loss data to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for corrective action.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with experience in developing and implementing safety procedures and protocols. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
