Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Network Operations Manager at Precision Hire Solution to oversee and manage the technical processes and operational integrity of our diverse network infrastructure. You will coordinate the activities of the Layer 2 Network Operations Team, ensuring that our products and services meet defined service level agreements (SLAs).

Reporting Structure:
In this role, you will report to the Senior Director of Platform Operations, maintaining and managing the DCI and DCN networking stack, including setup, administration, monitoring, configuration, disaster recovery, and routine updates. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations and evolution of innovative cloud solutions within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
  • Establish and communicate team and individual KPIs for the Layer 2 Network Operations team, aligning them with departmental and organizational strategic goals.
  • Supervise the performance of the L2 Network Operations team, providing direction and guidance to achieve team objectives.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify opportunities for performance enhancement.
  • Offer constructive feedback to team members and provide insights on employee performance to management.
  • Mentor and develop team members to reach their full potential.

Operational Management:
  • Oversee the functionality of cloud network data platforms and technical offerings.
  • Work in conjunction with the Network Engineering department to implement new infrastructure that enhances customer success across our platforms.
  • Manage the reporting of infrastructure incidents and adhere to standard procedures for escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders.

Process Monitoring:
  • Supervise change management, incident management, and problem management processes, focusing on response time, quality, productivity, and ticket handling.
  • Collaborate with information security and operations teams to identify and address platform gaps.
  • Assist in identifying technology-related needs that drive automation within the team.
  • Utilize analytical research and problem-solving skills to address critical issues in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with product owners and managers to ensure systems are production-ready.
  • Contribute to budget preparation for the section.

Governance and Compliance:
  • Maintain awareness and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure team compliance with guidelines defined by divisions and departments, including HR, legal, risk, and quality assurance.
  • Participate in periodic audits of established policies and procedures.

Reporting and Development:
  • Assist in the development of periodic reports as requested by management.
  • Recommend remedial activities to address any quality or compliance issues identified during report reviews.

Professional Growth:
  • Proactively seek professional development opportunities to enhance leadership and technical skills.
  • Engage in performance appraisal processes and reflect on feedback for personal development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire a diverse team of technical professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of interacting confidently with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, NRS II, cloud-related) are advantageous.
