Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with corporate policy and prevailing safety requirements for the region.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Implement Corporate HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and HSE legislation and other requirements, monitor HSE performance, HSE targets, and suggest measures for further improvement.
  3. Liaise with Safety Managers and Contractors for the improvement and implementation of Corporate HSE Management ethics.
  4. Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable Safety measures.
  5. Review Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessment Plans for all key activities and monitor the effectiveness of hazard control measures, job safety plans, and work method statements at site and carry out HSE visits and report to Resident Engineers for immediate rectification.
  6. Review and monitor Contractors' monthly HSE inspections/reports.
  7. Conducting monthly Safety meetings, setting targets to achieve outstanding issues, prepare/submits minutes to all concerned for follow-up.
  8. Review Emergency Preparedness and response, Permit to Work system, Toolbox Talks, HSE meetings, HSE statistics & records of the contractors according to Company requirement.
  9. Review Incident/Accident investigation reports from contractors, reporting and communicating learning points, and monitor immediate action and follow-up actions to minimize/prevent re-occurrence.
  10. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
