Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our team at Mediclinic Middle East Management Services FZ LLC. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Comprehensive Clinical Services

Deliver high-quality, patient-centric care to individuals with ophthalmic conditions, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Manage Clinical Risks

Identify, assess, and mitigate clinical risks associated with direct patient care, ensuring a safe and effective treatment environment.

Ensure Clinical Governance

Maintain Accurate Medical Records

Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records, facilitating effective communication and decision-making.

Requirements
  1. Essential Qualifications

Basic medical degree and completion of higher education program (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.

Certification and registration in a specialty recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.

Active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).

Desirable Qualifications

Specialty-specific qualifications and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. At Least 3-5 Years' Post-Qualification Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

Experience in a Tier 1 Country

Desirable: At least 1 year's experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in a Tier 1 country, as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.

Key Skills and Knowledge
  1. Facilitate Clinical Clerkship Training

Ability to support and facilitate clinical clerkship training for medical students and junior colleagues.

Electronic Medical Record System

Proficiency in an electronic medical record system, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.

Effective Communication

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Clinical Audit Standards

Knowledge of clinical audit standards and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
