The InterContinental Fujairah Resort is situated on Al Aqah Beach, beneath the Hajjar Mountains. An exceptional destination where Arabian hospitality meets luxury. With 190 rooms, indoor & outdoor event space, restaurants & bar. Over 30 languages and countries are represented by our staff, creating an international five-star resort presence.
Your Role
As a Fitness Instructor, you will develop training and fitness education programs for our guests, maximizing their experience while using our fitness center.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Organizing regular gym activities and events to maximize members' enjoyment and use of the fitness studio.
- Developing workout programs and health promotion initiatives according to Hotel standards and safe industry practices.
- Maintaining professionally safe and effective fitness procedures, programs, and activities in the fitness studio.
- Providing fitness assessments and feedback to exercising customers.
- Assisting guests with safe exercising and proper body alignment, personal training, and prescribing workout programs.
- Coordinating the exercise program and fitness studio usage, continually seeking new ideas to maximize revenues.
- Cleaning and maintaining fitness studio equipment to meet standards and ensuring it's always in good working order.
- Welcome guests to the gym and provide a gym orientation, including basic fitness assessments.
- Familiarity with gym equipment, exercises, and overall health and wellness to guide guests accordingly.
- Understand and adhere to Hotel policies on Fire, Hygiene, and Health & Safety.
Ideal Qualifications
We're looking for someone with a qualification in Fitness, Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructor / Gym, and possibly a Diploma in Health, Fitness, and Exercise Instruction. Previous experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel within the Middle East would be beneficial. Adequate English language communication skills are required.
