Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Systems Monitoring: Monitor electrical works related to ELV and IT systems to ensure compliance with contract documents and procedures.
  2. Technical Submittals Review: Review, approve, and process all ELV and IT technical submittals.
  3. Preliminary Answers to RFIs: Prepare preliminary answers to RFIs related to ELV and IT works.
  4. Pre-Installation Coordination: Coordinate and supervise the pre-installation work of selected ELV and IT activities and operations.
  5. Change Order Review: Review contractors' ELV and IT change order proposals and prepare recommendations to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
  6. Sub-Consultant Liaison: Liaise with necessary sub-consultants.
  7. Claims Review: Assist with the review of contractors' claims related to ELV and IT works and prepare recommendations for claims.
  8. Project Record Review: Assist with the review of contractors' project record documents relevant to their discipline.
  9. Inspection and Testing: Assist with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover of the ELV and IT works.
  10. Sign-Off Package Preparation: Prepare a sign-off package for completed electrical works with completed documentation for sign-off by the Senior Electrical Engineer.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements: Ten (10) years' experience as an ELV Engineer with experience in construction administration in the UAE/Middle East.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or ELV/IT.

Skills:

  1. Technical Expertise: Strong technical background on ELV and IT systems.
  2. Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
  3. Product Knowledge: Good knowledge of ELV and IT systems, products, and materials.
  4. Software Proficiency: Knowledge/experience in AUTO CAD.
  5. Microsoft Office Skills: Good command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel, Word).
  6. Documentation Review: Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
  7. Specifications Understanding: Excellent understanding of specifications.
  8. Authority Requirements: Good understanding of Authority requirements.
  9. Project Understanding: Complete project understanding in the given discipline, from start to hand-over.
