Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiography Specialist to join our team at American Hospital Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of radiographic procedures, including mammography, interventional/fluoroscopy radiography, and portable radiography.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Radiographic Procedures: Conduct a variety of radiographic examinations, including mammography, interventional/fluoroscopy radiography, and portable radiography, in accordance with American Hospital Dubai and Medical Imaging Department guidelines.
  • Prepare Patients: Instruct and manipulate patients to ensure they are properly positioned for radiographic examinations.
  • Operate Equipment: Select techniques and calibrate equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Maintain Equipment: Clean, stock, and check the operation of equipment and accessory devices daily to ensure safety.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists: Work closely with radiologists to cater for all procedural needs and requirements.
  • Schedule Patients: Schedule patients for imaging examinations as required.
  • Assess Critical Procedures: Evaluate the nature of critical and emergency procedures and arrange patient priorities to accommodate them in conjunction with radiologist instructions.
  • Ensure Radiation Safety: Observe radiation safety measures/protocols at all times, including checking the Low Malignant Potential (LMP) in all females of childbearing age and protecting gonadal areas when applicable.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Observe all safety measures in specialized areas, including MRI safety screening forms, contrast assessments, and checking PTT/INR times for interventional procedures.
  • Perform Additional Duties: Perform any additional duties as required, including administration duties, filing, clerical, and scheduling tasks.
  • Professional Development: Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the field of expertise.
  • Quality Improvement and Education: Assist the Technical Director of Medical Imaging with coordinating the Departmental Quality Improvement and Education Programs.
