**Job Title:** Electrical Engineer - Cathodic Protection Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Cathodic Protection Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of our Cathodic Protection (CP) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough analyses and perform troubleshooting of cathodic protection-related problems to ensure the CP system operates within established parameters.
  • Inspections and Corrosion Management: Carry out regular inspections and participate in corrosion management, risk evaluations, structural analysis, and failure analysis of the cathodic protection system to facilitate safe operations.
  • Supervision and Quality Control: Supervise external and internal painting works, and oversee pin brazing and stud welding activities to ensure quality standards are met.
CP Systems Monitoring and Surveys:
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the overall performance of cathodic protection systems to meet established schedules and instructions, highlighting any deficiencies in the existing system.
  • Potential Reading and Reporting: Supervise, record, and plot potential readings, taking action to bring up potentials wherever they are below protective levels and reporting major deviations for corrective action.
  • Devising Methods and Implementation: Monitor and observe the devising methods and implementation to upgrade protective potentials by providing resistive bonds, insulating joints, hot spot protection, and adjusting current outputs.
  • Equipment Assessment: Participate in the assessment of equipment to identify corrosion and coating damages.
  • Soil Resistivity Surveys and Holiday Detection: Carry out soil resistivity surveys and holiday detection surveys to detect cracks or defects in the protective coating.
  • Damage Reporting: Monitor and report damage from third-party activities and report potential damage to the Supervisor for remedial action.
