About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at S Farm. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults on HGV trucks, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and specifications.
You will work closely with our Service Advisor to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively, and that our customers receive the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair faults on HGV trucks using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach.
- Ensure a full understanding of the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and specifications.
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in complex situations.
- Check work quality through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles.
- Complete service documentation in line with brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
- Maintain workshop housekeeping standards, including tool usage.
- Experience working on HGV trucks.
- Full and valid driving licence.
- Level 3 qualified within HGV Mechanics.
